Where are the Benetton Group headquarters located?
Benetton Group's Corporate headquarters are located at Villa Minelli in Ponzano, Treviso (Italy), about 30 km from Venice. The villa, a complex of sixteenth century buildings, was acquired by Benetton in 1969 and the task of restoring and remodernising the complex, entrusted to architects Afra and Tobia Scarpa, took over fifteen years.

When was Benetton Group founded?
The Benetton Group was established in 1965 by the Benetton family. The first shop outside Italy opened in Paris in 1969.
Is the Company still owned by the family?
Through Edizione Srl, the Benetton family owns 67% of Benetton Group. The remaining shares are publicly traded on the Milan stock-market.
What is the relationship between Edizione Srl and Benetton Group?
Edizione Srl, the holding company of the Benetton family, reported consolidated turnover of 11.6 billion euro in 2010, with the group’s total number of employees exceeding 85,000 people. Edizione operates in the retail sector, principally with the shareholdings in Benetton Group and Autogrill, and through its subsidiary Sintonia SA, in the sector of infrastructure and mobility services, with shareholdings in Atlantia-Autostrade per l’Italia, Investimenti Infrastrutture (Gemina-Aereoporti di Roma), SAGAT.
Edizione is also present in the real estate, agriculture, hotel and sports sectors, and has portfolio equity investments in, among others, Mediobanca, Assicurazioni Generali, RCS and Pirelli.

Benetton Group’s Annual Shareholders’ Meeting generally takes place in April/May of each year. All shareholders are invited to attend. Shareholders who present certification issued by intermediaries, as per current regulations, at least 2 (two) days before the date fixed for the meeting, have the right to attend the Meeting.

Does Benetton Group have a stock option plan for employees?
Benetton Group Board of Directors approved the proposal for a stock option plan for top management on 15th July 2004 and the Benetton Group Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting authorized the corresponding capital increase to service the plan on 9th September 2004.
The Board of Directors, meeting after the shareholders' meeting and in application of the authorized powers, resolved to increase the share capital by a total of euro 4,203,650.10, corresponding to 3,233,577 shares, following the award of a total of 3,233,577 options.
