Today Benetton Group is one of the best-known fashion companies in the world, present in the most important markets in the world with a network of about 4,000 stores; a responsible group that plans for the future and lives in the present, with a watchful eye to the environment, to human dignity, and to a society in transformation.

Benetton’s “universal” communication has accompanied the Group's global expansion. When companies export around the world, they normally adapt their advertising to suit different areas. Benetton Group is based in Ponzano, about 30 km from Venice. The Group’s headquarters are housed in Villa Minelli, a complex of 16th century buildings of great historical and cultural interest.
The complex was purchased in 1969 and later restored and modernized by the architects Afra and Tobia Scarpa. The renovation took over fifteen years to complete. Since the mid 1980s, Villa Minelli has been the Group’s base and the nerve centre of its business activities.
Edizione S.p.A. is one of Europe’s main holding companies. Now in its third generation, it is entirely controlled by the Benetton family. Edizione pursues an investment policy with an international growth strategy.
The main sectors in which Edizione operates are: transport infrastructure, through a holding in Atlantia; digital infrastructure through a holding in Cellnex ; food and beverage through Autogrill and manufacturing, through the historic brand Benetton. Edizione also has a presence in the real estate sector (through the subsidiary Edizione Property), and the agriculture and hotel sectors. Edizione holds a portfolio of shares in the financial sector, represented by its holdings in Assicurazioni Generali and Mediobanca.
In 2020 Edizione generated consolidated revenue of Euro 10.9 billion, 57% of which came from outside Italy. As at 31 December 2020 the Net Asset Value (NAV) amounts to Euro 10.8 billion.
